I think this program should be shown to every generation of high school and college students and then discussed extensively. Event though it deal with many of the things covered in The Prince it puts them in contemporary trappings so that they're easier to see for what they are. Personally, I spent countless viewings just trying to sort out Mesmer's relationship with his blind patient (as beautifully played by Rickman and Amanda Ooms) and whether he truly loved her or merely regarded her as his greatest accomplishment.
